The SC Tobacco-Free Collaborative is pleased to offer the SC Tobacco-Free College and University Webinar Series. The first webinar in this series will provide insight to individuals who work directly on tobacco-free campus policies for educational institutions. The goal of the webinar is to assist colleges and universities in creating effective campus-wide tobacco-free policies by specifically addressing campus policy enforcement and compliance concerns. Southern Obesity Summit | Sunday – Tuesday, October 5 – 7 | workshop

The Southern Obesity Summit is the largest regional obesity prevention event in the United States, drawing hundreds of participants from the 16 Southern States. The 8th Annual Southern Obesity Summit is being held for the first time in the state of Kentucky. Attendees will consist of youth, university researchers, policymakers, leaders from community-based organizations, federal and state government officials, health care providers, nonprofit organizations and members from national and state associations. Save the Date: Healthy Campus Summit for SC Colleges and Universities | Thursday, October 23, 8 AM – 5 PM | workshop

The Healthy Campus Summit will provide colleges and universities with information, tools, and resources to successfully implement healthy campus initiatives, programs, and policies. The agenda will include speakers and panelists that will address evidence-based best practices related to health topics measured in Healthy Campus 2020. Session topics include: creating a holistic model for health, creating a culture of wellness at work, student engagement, return on investment, and more.
