Working Well and NC Prevention Partners have been busy creating upcming webinars that will help our members succeed in changing thier policies, systems, adn environments relating to tobacco cessation, nutrition, and physical activity. They range from patient quit tobacco systems to healthy eating during the holidays to creating environments supportive of physical activity during the workday.

Tuesdays in November (1 PM): Learn about the Patient Quit Tobacco System

Want to learn more about NC Prevention Partners’ new Patient Quit Tobacco System? This executive level planning tool will help assess, enhance and evaluate hospitals’ policies and protocols for treating tobacco use and dependence. Weekly webinars will provide you with an overview of how the Patient Quit Tobacco System can help your hospital advance a Quit-Tobacco Initiative for patients that parallels the efforts you’re making with Working Well.  Webinars will occur each Tuesday at 1 PM throughout October.  Click here to register for the date that works best for you.

Thursday, December 1 (2-3 PM): Building an Environment that Supports Physically Active Employees

Creating physical activity friendly policies will do little to change behavior if employees have limited access to the space or facilities needed to be active.  This webinar will discuss how to create a worksite environment that supports physically active employees, by providing access during and beyond work hours, encouraging alternative commuting options, and providing accommodations for employees with special needs.  Click here to participate in this final webinar in our physical activity series.
