Join the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control and Eat Smart Move More SC for a free webinar on March 14 at 9:00 a.m. about Breaking Physical Activity Barriers Through Open Community Use: Where We Are and Where We’re Going. Open community use, allowing free community access to schools’ outdoor recreational facilities during non-school hours, is an effective and affordable strategy to combat obesity and increase physical activity. The purpose of this webinar is to update participants on efforts to support adoption, implementation,and promotion of the SC School Boards Association’s Open Community Use of Outdoor Recreational Areas model policy (KFA) and provide strategies for continuing the momentum to increase awareness of open community use.

The Charleston Healthy Business Challenge is a FREE collaborative program designed to help businesses and organizations improve the overall health and wellbeing of their employees with the goal of reducing the growing cost of preventable illness and disease and creating a culture of wellness in the workplace. 

This is a free seminar about how workplace volunteer programs can improve recruitment, engagement, productivity and retention as well as decrease healthcare costs.
