Don’t Miss the 2017 Art and Science of Health Promotion Conference!

The Art and Science of Health Promotion Conference is the premier conference for evidence-based best practices in workplace health promotion. The 2017 conference will be held March 29-31 at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Keynote speaker Victor Strecher will be speaking on “Life on Purpose: How Living for What Matters Most Changes Everything.” Mr. Strecher will reconsider directions taken in health and wellness and discuss new strategies and new outcomes for the field. His out-of-the-box thinking gives a refreshing and inspiring perspective.

The theme of the 2017 conference is “Awareness, motivation, skills, opportunity…what is the right mix?” There is growing evidence that systematic approaches are effective in motivating people to adopt or maintain positive lifestyle habits, especially when they include improving awareness of the benefits of healthy lifestyle; enhancing motivation to form and maintain positive habits; building the skills necessary to perform new behaviors; and creating opportunities that make the healthy choice the easiest choice. But what do we know about the relative importance of each of these four elements, or even the most effective approaches within them? This conference will explore these questions.
