Congratulations to our Platinum Award Recipients!

These organizations are recognized by Working Well for recently achieving Platinum status through our Strategy for Wellbeing online platform. To receive Platinum recognition, organizations must demonstrate they have met various best practice standards within one of the nine dimensions of workplace wellbeing: Wellness Culture, Risk Assessment & Outreach, Nutrition & Food Environment, Physical Activity, Tobacco Free, Emotional & Mental Wellbeing, Financial Wellbeing, Incentives & Communications, and Evaluation. These organizations are creating a sustainable culture of wellbeing by using effective, evidence-based best practices to create healthy worksites.

The Citadel has achieved Platinum status in the following dimensions:

  • Risk Assessment & Outreach: Assessing employees’ health status and health risks and conducting tailored outreach through worksite wellbeing initiatives.
  • Tobacco Free: Providing comprehensive tobacco-free efforts to support employees in leading tobacco-free lives.
  • Emotional & Mental Wellbeing: Providing resources and benefits to promote positive work-life balance, stress management, employee morale and optimal emotional and mental wellbeing.
  • Financial Wellbeing: Providing resources, planning tools and benefits to help employees achieve their financial goals.
  • Evaluation: Practicing comprehensive evaluation efforts to continually improve workplace wellbeing initiatives.

For the second year in a row, Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital have achieved Platinum status in all nine dimensions of wellbeing:

  • Wellness Culture: Providing employees with a healthy and supportive culture to promote optimal wellbeing.
  • Risk Assessment & Outreach: Assessing employees’ health status and health risks and conducting tailored outreach through worksite wellbeing initiatives.
  • Nutrition & Food Environment: Supporting, providing and promoting healthy and affordable food and beverage options for employees.
  • Physical Activity: Providing and promoting access to physical activity opportunities during work hours for employees.
  • Tobacco Free: Providing comprehensive tobacco-free efforts to support employees in leading tobacco-free lives.
  • Emotional & Mental Wellbeing: Providing resources and benefits to promote positive work-life balance, stress management, employee morale and optimal emotional and mental wellbeing.
  • Financial Wellbeing: Providing resources, planning tools and benefits to help employees achieve their financial goals.
  • Incentives & Communication: Aligning wellness incentives and proper communication efforts to promote employee engagement.
  • Evaluation: Practicing comprehensive evaluation efforts to continually improve workplace wellbeing initiatives.

Research demonstrates that employees performing at optimal health can have a major impact on organizational performance by contributing to lower healthcare costs, less absenteeism, higher productivity and improved morale. Healthy employees perform better and are more productive and engaged than their peers. If you have any questions about achieving Platinum status, contact Emily O’Sullivan at eosullivan@scha.org.
