It’s that time of year again – time to select the next class of South Carolina’s healthcare leaders. The Management Academy is officially accepting applications for hospital and health system employees who want to shape the future of healthcare in South Carolina.
The program is aimed at employees who are on the path to management, those brand new to their management role, and seasoned managers who would like to refresh and expand their leadership skills. It is open to clinical and non-clinical hospital employees who are seeking the opportunity to learn and grow professionally.
The Management Academy will offer participants the opportunity to engage in a unique, South Carolina-specific curriculum led by best-in-class state and national presenters to equip hospital employees with the skills needed to achieve their professional goals. Through The Management Academy, participants will:
- Enhance the level of professional confidence in their ability to succeed and lead as a healthcare manager;
- Develop networking and interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with other managers within their own organization;
- Develop management skills and leadership competencies that will help advance the mission of their departments and organizations; and
- Develop an interdisciplinary network of peers from hospitals across the state to discuss and share best practices and key trends.
The deadline to apply is September 30, 2016. Be sure to check with your administrators as some facilities have their own selection process. For an overview of the program and to complete the online application, visit www.SCManagementAcademy.com.
You will be notified via email in November if you have been selected. For more information, contact Kim Wooten by email or by phone at 803.796.3080.
