SCHA and Southern Tide Partner to Help Our Healthcare Heroes

Southern Tide, the Greenville-based casual apparel brand, has created an exclusive new Healthcare Heroes collection, with 100 percent of proceeds currently going to support doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers in South Carolina who are battling COVID-19.

The special edition unisex performance cap and t-shirt are available on SouthernTide.com. The company will donate $15 per cap, $23 per short sleeve tee and $28 per long sleeve tee, representing 100 percent of Southern Tide’s profits, to SCHA for every unit sold through April 30. The hats feature a red embroidered emblem on the front, and short sleeve and long sleeve graphic t-shirts feature a red graphic on the back that says “stronger together.”

“Southern Tide is thrilled to partner with our friends at the South Carolina Hospital Association for this special initiative during these uncertain times we are facing,” said Christopher Heyn, Southern Tide CEO. “We couldn’t think of a more deserving group of heroes than members of our medical community who are working tirelessly around the clock. In the upcoming weeks, we look to build upon this campaign and kick-off relationships with additional states. We want our frontline heroes to know that we are with them every step of the way and are incredibly grateful for all that they do.”

Items from the Healthcare Heroes collection will ship free.

All funding raised from the campaign will go to the SCHA Foundation for appropriate distribution to the state’s hospital and health system workforce. SCHA is also helping connect Southern Tide with other state hospital associations to expand the campaign nationwide.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity to help the state’s frontline healthcare employees and recognize them for the heroes that they are,” said Melanie Matney, Foundation President.
