New “Strategy for Wellbeing” Web Platform

New “Strategy for Wellbeing” Web Platform

On January 1, 2017, SCHA’s Working Well initiative launched a new Strategy for Wellbeing Web Platform designed to help employers implement best practices in employee wellness.

  • Addresses nine dimensions of wellbeing:
  1. Wellness Culture
  2. Risk Assessment/Outreach
  3. Nutrition/Food Environment
  4. Physical Activity
  5. Tobacco Cessation
  6. Emotional/Mental Wellbeing
  7. Financial Wellbeing
  8. Incentives/Communication
  9. Evaluation
  • Includes an evidence-based assessment, a scorecard, customized improvement opportunities, a library of online resources, and the opportunity for statewide recognition when organizations achieve the benchmark standards.
  • Customizable and affordable for any employer of any size or sector.
  • Helps employers assess the extent to which they are implementing evidence-based best practices for wellness programs.
  • Questions are based on content in other evidence-based best practice wellness program assessments and findings from relevant research studies.
  • The weightings and scoring of responses are based on scientific evidence.
  • The instrument and scorecard have been field-tested for validity and reliability.
  • The tool will be continuously reviewed and revised as new evidence on best practices and outcomes for worksite wellness programs are reported.
