Meet the new SC HEN 2.0 Performance Manager
Meet April Carroll, the new Hospital Engagement Network (HEN) 2.0 Performance Manager for the CMS Partnership for Patients Program.
The Premier HEN, which includes the South Carolina Affinity Group recently received grant funding to continue important work reducing readmissions and hospital-acquired conditions.
A North Carolina native, April holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry, as well as Associate, Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nursing. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with an Executive Leadership focus. She has served in various roles in healthcare to include: staff nurse, inpatient nurse manager, ambulatory practice manager, nurse educator, and is a licensed Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Her most recent experience has been in patient safety and quality where she combined both her experience and dedication together to reduce harm, to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes. Her passion for standardizing care and improving overall quality for patients on a larger scale, brought her to Premier, Inc.
April brings great value & vision to this national imperative and she is ready to help move organizations forward towards achieving and exceeding set goals; ultimately impacting the health of our communities and saving lives. She looks forward to working in collaboration with South Carolina HEN 2.0 hospitals!
