Medical Practice Management Class II Graduates

On August 22, the second class of the Medical Practice Management Certificate Program graduated after eight months of dedication and hard work.  The class consisted of 12 participants from seven hospitals around the state, including Baptist Easley, Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, Greenville Hospital System, Hampton Regional Medical Center, McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Palmetto Health, and Providence Hospital. The program, a joint effort by the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) and the College of Health Professions at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), is designed to train physician practice managers on important managerial skills and is based on MGMA’s Bodies of Knowledge. The class met five times and completed several online modules throughout the year to gain and enhance their knowledge around business operations, financial management, human resources management, patient care systems, and quality management.
