House votes to adjourn Sine Die July 1
With only a few weeks left in this legislative session, the House spent last week on the Redistricting process, giving members time to work on the maps of their districts. Consequently, few committee meetings were held and time in the Chamber was brief.
On Thursday, the House adopted H.4195 (Harrell), a concurrent resolution relating to Sine Die adjournment which allows the General Assembly to adjourn Thursday June 2, reconvene on Tuesday, June 14, and adjourn Sine Die Friday, July 1. During this extended session, the bodies may work on redistricting legislation, gubernatorial vetoes, conference reports, confirmation of appointments, and Sine Die adjournment resolutions. It was unanimously adopted and is pending in the Senate for consideration.
