Helping hospital employees in the South recover

Hospital employees all across the south suffered devastating losses from the recent tornadoes and floods. Many lost their homes and much of their property. Others lost friends and family members, and a few even lost their lives.  Yet, we all watched with admiration as they bravely continued caring for their patients, despite their own personal losses. In an effort to help these hospital employees rebuild their lives, the hospital community has reopened The Care Fund.

The Care Fund is designed to assist hospital employees affected by disasters and originally used following Hurricane Katrina.  The Fund is being administered by state hospital associations in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, and donations will be disbursed to affected hospital employees in these states. One hundred percent of all contributions will go directly to hospital employees, and all contributions are tax deductible.

If you would like to contribute to this fund, go to for information on how you can pay by check or by credit card online. After making a donation, you will receive an acknowledgement, including information needed for tax purposes.
