Governor Haley Recognizes SC Hospitals During Hospital Week

Join us in celebrating all of the individuals who contribute to hospitals for their commitment to health during Hospital Week.

National Hospital Week is May 8-14 and serves as a celebration of the history and dedicated professionals that make our facilities beacons of confidence and care. This year’s official theme is “Health Care from the Heart” in honor of the important care provided by hospital employees from food service to the emergency department.

In honor of National Hospital Week, Governor Nikki Haley has declared Wednesday, May 11 as “South Carolina Hospital Day.” The state’s hospital community is honored to be recognized by Gov. Haley, and all the credit belongs to the dedicated hospital employees who devote their lives to patients in South Carolina and across the nation.

A hospital is more than a place where people go to heal, it is an essential part of the community that fosters health and represents hope. From providing treatment and comfort to the sick to welcoming new life into the world, hospitals are central to a healthy and optimistic community. That’s the message we share with the 2016 National Hospital Week theme “Health Care from the Heart.”
