Employee Wellness Proves Its Worth

Many SC hospitals have followed suit and begun to create a culture of wellness at their facility. These hospitals are a part of Working Well, a three year initiative funded by The Duke Endowment that aims to improve worksite wellness and implement policy and environmental systems changes conducive to healthy living.

These hospitals have access to the WorkHealthy America assessment tool, which assesses each hospitals' policies relative to tobacco cessation, healthy food environment, and access to physical activity throughout the work day. They also receive monthly e-newsletters, free attendance to regularly scheduled webinars which address the three pillars of Working Well, site visits from Jen Wright, Working Well manager, and opportunites to network and share best practices pertaining to employee wellness.
