Celebrate Food Day with Health Care Without Harm

Celebrate Food Day on October 24!

Health Care Without Harm is asking hospitals and other health care facilities to serve at least one meat item raised without routine antibiotics on Food Day. Will you join them?

Food Day offers a great opportunity to showcase your facility's efforts to serve meat and poultry raised without routine antibiotics or to launch your Healthy Food in Health Care participation! By purchasing meat raised without routine antibiotics, you are on the forefront of saving antibiotics for human medicine. Antibiotic overuse in animal agriculture can create antibiotic resistant superbugs that threaten human health. Health Without Harm wants to celebrate health care’s commitment to building a healthy and sustainable food supply.

About Food Day

Every October 24, thousands of events all around the country bring Americans together to celebrate and enjoy real food and to push for improved food policies. October 24 is a day to resolve to make changes in our own diets and to take action to solve food-related problems in our communities at the local, state, and national level.
