Are You Committed?

Committing to a corporate culture of wellness is an important step within Working Well. It’s actually the initial step in joining the initiative and showing the hospital community its commitment to make a change within the facility as well as in the surrounding community. By the CEO signing this commitment, he or she is “dedicated to making healthy policy changes to help all employees live longer and live better...and will lead this initiative by modeling responsible, healthy behaviors… [and] will actively encourage and support employees to adopt healthier lifestyles.”
As of April 22, 2011, 30 hospitals have committed to the initiative and have shown leadership in the realm of wellness. We would like to congratulate these hospitals in their efforts on becoming a healthier workforce through tobacco cessation, providing a healthy food environment, and encouraging increased physical activity during the work day. All 30 hospitals are listed below.

To learn how your hospital can join Working Well and be continued leaders in health and wellness, please email Working Well Coordinator Kendyl Schultz or call her at 803.744.3531 or email Working Well Manager Jen Wright or call her at 803.744.3553.
