Certified Emergency Nurse Certification Review Course
This course is designed for nurses preparing to take the CEN certification exam or review skills. This two-day course will help nurses prepare the certification in emergency care nursing and may be of benefit those who are new to nursing who are seeking more foundational knowledge. The learner will be given a few studies regarding certification and improved patient outcomes.
Upon the completion of this course the participant will be able to:
•Assess and manage patients with neurological injuries.
•Assess and care for patients with cardiovascular emergencies.
•Assess and provide care for patients with respiratory diseases.
•Provide and care for patients with emergency orthopedic needs.
•Assess patient’s status to determine the priority of care and preserve evidence for legal situations.
•Identify and manage general medical emergencies.
•Assess and determine mechanism of injury.
•Assess and provide care for GI related emergencies.
•Assess and provide care for the GU/OB/GYN emergencies.
•Assess and manage patients with substance abuse, psychiatric emergencies and mange burn injuries.
•Assess and administer care to patients with maxillofacial and ocular emergencies.
•Review sample questions and test-taking tips
