Amazing People Walk the Halls of Your Hospital Every Day
SCHA needs your help in presenting stories involving amazing people associated with South Carolina hospitals. Every day you are doing amazing things and we often hear snippets of the stories but rarely receive the details.
An example of a story: A teenager who lost her grandparents and mother to cancer worked with a South Carolina hospital's foundation to raise more than $10,000 to support cancer research as a memorial to her loved ones.
We know there are more stories just like this. Read other examples and learn more about this opportunity to be featured in a special video to be used in 2012 to promote the services of hospitals to the local community. You can nominate yourself, a colleague, a volunteer, a patient, a family member of a patient, a local business person, etc. All nominations must be received by November 15. Submit your stories to Patti Smoake.
Raise Up Leaders from Within
It's the fall of the year, so that it's time to nominate up and coming leaders within your organization for The Management Academy, a formal, year-long leadership development program for the up and coming leaders of South Carolina hospitals. This program, developed by the Workforce Advisory Committee as a strong retention strategy for the best, brightest and boldest from our hospitals, is accepting applications from for the 2012 class.
Applications are due no later than December 9, so think about people from your hospital that you have tapped for greater roles in the future and nominate them to attend TheManagementAcademy in 2012. The program is open to both clinical and non-clinical managers and directors who have the vision and desire to grow and learn. View the schedule, dates, faculty, and download the application.
