The gavel falls on this year’s session of the S.C. General Assembly
The legislative session officially begins January 10. Legislators will resume their work on proposals including health care issues.
Their work will include important legislative proposals including the Certificate of Need program, which is under threat of elimination, strengthening the peer review process, allocating fines for texting and driving to trauma hospitals, and will start work on new proposals such as new requirements on Medicaid recipients, the SC False Claims Act, and more.
