Piedmont and Palmetto Health Reach Gold
Congratulations to Piedmont Medical Center and Palmetto Health for reaching Gold this month! Piedmont Medical Center received both the Gold Star and Gold Apple awards for establishing comprehensive quit tobacco systems for employees and for creating a healthy food environment to all employees during all shifts, respectively. Palmetto Health also received the Gold Apple award.
Piedmont Medical Center was awarded both the Gold Star and Gold Apple designation earlier in June when they completed the neccessary steps needed to achieve the hightest standard of excellence in employee quit tobacco systems and the highest standard of excellence in creating healthy food environments for all employees where the healthy choice is the easy choice, respectively. Working Well Manager Jen Wright traveled to the Upstate to present Piedmont's wellness staff with their dual designation plaques. Palmetto Health was awarded the Gold Apple designation for both campuses, Baptist and Richland, late last week.
