Outcome Engineering, in partnership with the North and South Carolina Hospital Associations, is pleased to offer Just Culture Certification Training. This course was created to facilitate long lasting culture change by developing in-house expertise in the form of Champions, which is critical to your organization’s ability to sustain Just Culture over the long term. Just Culture Champions will gain a better understanding of human fallibility by placing less focus on events, errors, and outcomes and more focus on risk, system design and the management of behavioral choices.

As the primary tool to ensure justice and accountability, the Just Culture Algorithm is an important element in producing consistently better outcomes. During the course, Outcome Engineering will explain concepts behind the Algorithm, and explore the connection it has with the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the legal system. We will also describe how this tool integrates key principles from the law with systems engineering, and human factors.

Each participant will receive a complete suite of Just Culture products and a Certification Case Book. In order to receive Just Culture Certification, you will be asked to complete online training, pass a proficiency exam, and participate in a verbal debrief following your exam submission.

The North and South Carolina Hospital Association’s Just Culture Certified Champions are ready to support their member organizations in their Just Culture journey.
