A transformational leader has a vision and passion for achieving great things and inspires others to embrace and enthusiastically work toward that vision.

Changing health and health care in South Carolina and beyond will require transformational leadership, and an important part of South Carolina hospitals' initiative to reengineer care is to identify and train leaders for today and tomorrow. Therefore a priority for SCHA is to identify education gaps and work with the appropriate partners to make needed training accessible and affordable to South Carolinians who will play a leadership role in transforming health care. Audiences for various offerings are likely to include hospital executives, trustees, managers, physicians, nurses, members of the community,hospital employees who are natural leaders among their peers,and students who look forward to a career in health care.
