Completed in 2004, the Conference Center is spacious and flexible, and it offers the latest amenities and technologies desired by business and social event planners. Situated on lovely Center Point Lake in a lushly landscaped green space, the Center is right off Interstates 20 and 26 and just minutes from the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. This location provides ease of access for in-town and out-of-town guests, as well as ample, free parking.

An Introduction to the Meeting Place

The Meeting Place specializes in small and medium-sized gatherings, catering to guests who want a professional, quietly sophisticated setting without the distractions of a large convention center or hotel. Completed in 2004, our facility is spacious and flexible, and it includes the latest amenities and technologies desired by business and social event planners.

Location

Situated in a lushly landscaped green space, ringed by hardwoods and pines and a private lake, one would never know The Meeting Place is located right off Interstates 20 and 26. This provides ease of access for in-town and out-of-town guests without the congestion of a downtown location. The Meeting Place is part of the Center Point Professional Complex and includes extensive parking. Guests can drive right up to the building and park.

Meeting Place

The Meeting Place is ideally suited for a variety of gatherings, accommodating groups up to 200 people. We are the perfect venue for executive planning sessions, seminars, continuing education and large presentations. Guests may choose from our boardroom, classrooms and ballroom settings. Social events such as weddings, family reunions and anniversaries also find our facilities welcoming. The spaciousness of our reception area, gallery and ballroom allows for ease of movement. Events also can utilize our back patio overlooking Center Point Lake.

Equipment

The Meeting Place offers state-of-the-art audiovisual technology for our guests’ functions at competitive pricing, with technical onsite staff to ensure everything is working properly. If we do not have the equipment that you require, we will recommend other resources.

Catering

No event is complete without the proper refreshments. Whether you’re looking for a coffee break to tide guests over, an after hours cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception, or a sit-down, multi-course meal, The Meeting Place has an
in-house caterer, Dimmler’s Catering and Special Events, that will prepare fare that is delicious, artfully presented and affordable.
